- Violin student of James Caesar and Beatrice Pease of Wichita State University (WSU)
- Longtime violin student of Leopold Shopmaker (student of Leopold Auer and Willy Hess) for whom the Mid-American Violin Competition is named (Leopold Shopmaker Award)
- Founder and member of the First Baptist Church (FBC) String Orchestra
- Currently plays in the FBC Praise Band and the Vance Music Band
- Played in the Hutchinson Symphony, Fort Hays Symphony, WSU Symphony, Friend's Community Orchestra, K.U. Medical Arts Symphony, and the Kansas City, Kansas Symphony
- School and church orchestra clinician including genres such as: Classical, Jazz, Rock, Bluegrass, Irish, Welsh, Scottish, Old-Time Fiddle, Cajun, and Gospel music
- Taught clinics and/or workshops for Friends University, WSU, and the Kansas American String Teacher Association (KASTA)
- Played backup for Alvis Barnett, The Terry's, Parton's, Stutes Family, Pee Wee Reese, Craig Curry, and Ernest Alexander
- Member of the American String Teacher Association (ASTA), KASTA, Kansas Acoustic Arts Association and the Kansas Bluegrass Association
